Supporting the Mission at Urban Vision

There are many progressive and exciting things happening at Consolidus. One of our favorites is our growing ability to be a strong community partner. One of those opportunities is supporting the efforts of an organization called Urban Vision.

Urban Vision has a program for students in their Set On Success afterschool program where they can earn Urban Vision dollars to spend on different events and stores throughout the year. Their favorite store of the year is their “Christmas Store with Dignity.” Here, they can shop for gifts for their loved ones using their Urban Vision dollars.

Jeffrey Jones, our CEO wrote: “This was an amazing experience and so fun to do as a team. My favorite part of the Christmas store program is that the students get to earn UV dollars throughout the year based on grades or demonstrating leadership and core values, and then the students use those dollars to get gifts and household necessities for their families. UV is BIG on nurturing self-sufficiency and leadership versus just giving a handout.”

It is the efforts of our entire team that makes our ability to give back to the community possible. Let’s continue to build a brighter future together and touch as many lives as we can.
